Our Story
Colorado Security is a Pueblo-based security company founded in 1984 by Joe Collinsworth. Joe established the firm after spending 13 years as a Diebold technician. That experience led to Joe providing security services to financial market clientele throughout the southern part of Colorado.
In the late 1990’s, following stints with the U.S. Navy, Joe’s sons Brian and Michael joined the business. They took over management of the business just a few years later.
Colorado Security is now five employees strong and has solidified an excellent reputation for quality service and satisfied customers. We pride ourselves on personalized service and long-standing relationships with clients. Because we don’t have specific brand alliances, we help our clients choose the best products for the job.
We have over 2,000 installed accounts, which are split 75% commercial and 25% residential, with our leading services being video surveillance, fire / life safety, intrusion detection and access control.
